Curriculum

"I am writing this letter to recommend Bella Terra Montessori. My child has been with Bella Terra since he was 3 months old. He is currently 3 years old and has graduated from the Toddler Program to the Preschool Program.

I started my son in the toddler program upon my return to work when he was 3 months old. As a new mom, that was one of the hardest days of my life, leaving my child for the first time with a new person for 8 hours a day. Upon arriving at the school extremely emotional and nervous, I was welcomed with open arms and an understanding heart. Throughout the day, I was blessed with text messages filled with pictures, which made my day so much easier! Throughout his 3 years in the toddler program, I couldn't have been happier or more grateful for all that was done for my son. With the amazing help of Miss Jan, like a second grandma, he was raised and nurtured to become the loving and amazing toddler he is today. There were and still are many days he cries when I arrive to pick him up at the end of the day because he doesn't want to leave.

This year, he started in the preschool program with students age 3-6. As an elementary teacher myself, it has always been important to me for him to be in a program that not only allows him to play and interact with other children at a variety of ages; but that also works with him beginning to develop him academically. This year, he has been challenged and pushed to explore math, reading and writing. Every day, I am amazed at the new facts he learns and comes home telling me. Currently, he is studying Australia and he is always excited to tell me new facts! Every month, Bella Terra changes the "work" on the shelves and you would think it is Christmas to my child. He loves the variety they give him along with the structure and challenge that is age appropriate.

The staff at Bella Terra have been willing to work with me on a weekly basis to adjust to whatever my son's needs are and they always treat him like the individual he is."
